The province of Leinster in the south east of Ireland is home to the counties of Wicklow, Wexford, Offaly, Kilkenny, Meath and the capital city of Dublin. The most populous region of Ireland is also the most visited and provides the gateway to most of the island’s tourists by the way of Dublin Airport and the ports of Dun Laoghaire and Rosslare. Leinster charms with the historical cities of Dublin, Kilkenny and Wicklow alongside the stunning Wicklow Mountains and the abundance of architectural gems that make up Ireland’s Ancient East. This more accessible and cosmopolitan region acts as an excellent accompaniment to Ireland’s rugged, windswept west.
